Mummy signed up for the Parent n Babe weekend class at GUG for me. This programme is meant for the 8 months to 18 months old. Mummy like the way I am exposed to Zoo-phonics, numbers, songs & dance, hands-on activities, story-telling etc. Yet again, I am not attentive in class at all time!
As you know, I am an active toddler. How do you expect me to sit through the duration of one and a half hour! I will be distracted by the toys place at the side of the class, pretty little mei mei, and I will play or do things my way, differently from what has been instructed! Mummy always has a hard time to get me to comply as I will jump, shake my head and cry to rebel at times.
However, my mummy is very relieved that I am showing improvement in terms of adjusting to the classroom environment after the third session. I particularly like the songs & dance and story-telling. I will sit and listen attentively to the teacher when she reads and show me the book.
Mummy hopes that even if I am not showing that I am paying attention, I am still absorbing..haha.. By the way, mummy keeps chanting the Zoo-phonics at me..rather irritating yah!

Our Hong Kong Trip
Daddy, mummy and I travelled to Hong Kong for a 5 days 4 nights free & easy trip (with 1 day free city tour) to relax and unwind from their hectic work. The trip was really all about eating and shopping plus some sight-seeing. You may have thought that mummy was the invincible shopping queen who spent the most but daddy was the one who was crowned the King for he finally got his desired P**** bag! (Oops.. I mustn't reveal too much about daddy's indulgence)
Here are some random pictures:
Day 1
At Changi Airport T3 early in the morning waiting to board SQ860. See how sleepy I looked.

Transferring to the hotel once we touched down. See how happy I was playing in the clean, comfortable, contemporary furnished room. No qualms about choosing this hotel although it is situated slightly further in Sha Tin.

A demanding me, struggling to come down to get the ball. We spent the all afternoon and evening at New Town Plaza, a lively and one of the largest shopping venue in HK, which is connected to our hotel.

Day 2
Daddy & mummy decided to go for the free city tour to places that are more inaccessible. We went for a traditional dim sum breakfast, followed by Repulse Bay. We went past so many houses, villas and apartments belonging to the rich and famous!

Next was Aberdeen, we experienced the traditional fishing life by sailing on the fishing boat and we even saw the famous Jumbo Floating Restaurant.

After lunch, daddy and mummy chose not to follow the tour to Ngong Ping 360 but rather to shop at the Citygate Outlets. It is a shopping heaven for discounted international brands! You can check out my Daddy's loots from the Nike outlet store.
In the evening, we went to Tsim Sha Tsui area for the Symphony of Light but could not catch it in time as we were still having our dinner. Thus we just shopped along the famous Nathan Road belt. We even went into the historical The Peninsula. It is a hotel that exudes so much charm and sophistication.

Day 3
We headed to Central for the day and took the tram up to The Peak at around 5pm. We stayed at The Peak till night time and got to view the breathtaking, picturesque scenery of HK in day and night.
We would walk past these cute mascots for Yata Department Store when we made our way to the MTR station from our hotel.

We chanced upon St John's Cathedral while walking to the Peak Tram station and stopped by to have my milk and visit the interior thereafter.

Almost reaching the Peak Tram station

Reached!

Up we went!

We had dinner Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., a restaurant that commands stunning views. I was given some crayons and a colouring picture and I started to scribble at once. I was thrilled!

After dinner, we went up to the viewing deck! We managed to catch the Symphony of Light up above at The Peak but of course it is best to be viewed from the promenade at Tsim Sha Tsui.

No, we did not want to enter Madame Tussauds. However, it made no harm to take some shots with the two wax likenesses of Michelle Yeoh and Bruce Lee

Day 4
We spent the whole day and night at Mong Kok / Prince Edward area shopping till our legs and daddy and mummy's arms ached from carrying me.
Day 5
Spent the morning and afternoon doing last minute shopping and buying local delicacy at the hotel's vicinity and at New Town Plaza again. Daddy and mummy also brought me to see Snoopy, Charlie, Peanuts and their friends at Snoopy's Place which is within New Town Plaza before our flight back to Singapore in the evening.

We enjoyed ourselves so much that Mummy wished she could stay for another few days! However, she was also glad that I could finally go home for nutritious home-cooked porridge!

Updates!!!

Gosh! It has been about half a year since the last update in January! Mummy has been very busy, juggling with work, housework, and me. It is not easy being a full-time working mum. Anyway, here is an update on me.
1. I started walking at 13 months and have since been very adventurous... climbing up and down the bed, sofa and coffee table. Mummy's heart will drop whenever she sees me walking on the sofa (so near to the edge!). I will also dance and turn round and round until I become dizzy. Mummy limited me to turn only two rounds the most.
2. I am currently 16 months, weighing 12.2kg and measuring 83cm tall. My pediatrician said I am between 90 and 97 percentile for both weight and height for my age group. Isn't it a great achievement exceeding so many toddlers especially since I am a pre-term baby! I am indeed very well-fed!
3. I am talking much more. I can say the following words: apple, amen, ball, bird, nana (as in banana), curtain, car, dadi (as in daddy), ma ma, mum mum, mo (as in Elmo) and lots of other words which I invented myself!
4. I can understand and perform instructions very well.
5. I can identify some parts of my body by pointing to them. Eg. eyes, mouth, nose, head, hair, fingers, toes, hands, legs and stomach.
6. I can relate the purpose of item and put it correctly in place. Eg. I always given mummy her pair of bedroom slippers by placing at her feet, I pass daddy and po po their spectacles and placing at their eyes, I touch my head whenever I see a cap or hat, I look/point to the clock when mummy ask me what time it is etc...
7. I like all things round or circle in shape. Therefore, I like vehicles with WHEELS, BALLS, BALLOONS! I will also involve in imaginary play, pretending that I am turning the steering wheel and driving by turning a round plastic lid or a container!
8. I like to watch okto channel especially programmes like Hi-5, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Yo Gabba Gabba! However, mummy doesn't like me to glue to the TV for too long and so I can only watch selectively.
In fact, the list can go even longer but mummy chose to end here. She has to create new posts and upload lots of pictures of me taken since the beginning of this year!

Playing soccer
I started to like kicking ball when I am 10 months old. Here's a short clip of me in action. Very soon, I will be able to play soccer with daddy.

My photo shoot
Lights, Camera, Action!
We were at The Studio Loft on 12 December 2009 for our first professional photo shoot as a family. The session lasted for 45 minutes and it was really exhausting for mummy and daddy who had behaved like clowns, trying to draw my attention to the camera and making my smile. Luckily, I became cranky only towards the end of the shoot. Daddy and mummy then spent the next 1 hour selecting the pictures. It was not easy as almost all the pictures taken by auntie Maryann look so good!
After a few rounds of elimination, we selected a total of 16 pictures. Here are some of the selected pictures:
